This unique duo- MR comes in with yet another banger on their hands. This will most definitely have you dancing to their tunes with their latest release- The Creeps. The track is all sorts of nostalgia jarred up in one track. This pop-disco number has so many references that you can pick up on. And you'll do so if you were/are a mystery, horror or retro fan. The melody in this song is strangely familiar yet so distinctive about it. The bell that starts off the song adds an eerie feeling. This is peppered with the Frankenstein or Dracula style theme melody except with an electric guitar twist. The Mary Shelly reference cannot go unnoticed as it is added to the hook. The Creeps is an obvious choice to add to Wednesday. Everything is a match between the song and the series. MR deserve more recognition and credit and listening to the impeccable quality of song making and producing, I’m pretty sure that they will soon be climbing up the ladder in the Indie music scene. Draumr - Some Other Night
Draumr comes in swinging with a forest of sounds for us to wonder about with his latest single- Some Other Night. The new-age French singer and poet gives us a run for our time in this one. You can feel yourself sink deeper and deeper into his groovy pop synth universe and you cannot help it. We hit the floor running, he drops us into the think of the forest with a flourish guitar section that only intensifies as we listen. The track gives off a goth aura and the synth-pop adds such a great hook. It also grounds the song and then the guitar comes right in to elevate the song to new heights. This Goth forest of a track deserves to be added to a scene from Wednesday. This series has brilliant world-building and it's only fair that two flashes of brilliance come together.
