Frankie Addiego-The Satanic Rites of Dracula
Frankie Addiego has his storytelling abilities, and the way to infuse melodies. This artist from the SF Bay Area has been in bands before, but now he gets to paint his own pictures. The result is something rich with imagery, fiction, and plenty of entertainment. This is his latest single, The Satanic Rites of Dracula. Sure, we’ve all watched Dracula and Transylvania stories, but who puts in the effort to write a rock epic around it? Frankie Addiego channels the everlasting power of Meat Loaf to give us a rock single that has the blood and soul of an epic. All puns intended. The Dracula rhetoric is something that has always intrigued us, and any gore always fits in rock and metal. Frankie leaves in some single strums that develop into a post punk feel, while performing the vocals in more of a spoken word style. It has an immediate catch to it, especially the lingering progressions. The whole tale has an immense amount of detail to it, as an author, Frankie Addiego is incredibly accomplished. His unique style can be heard in all his styled singles, especially Black Widow and Compost Bin. He refuses to be pigeonholed into different styles, and this speaks to all of us best. This would fit in the David Fincher directed 1st season of Mindhunter, when the montage takes you through a cross-country journey. Check out his single above and follow him for more!
