This is rounded off with Carson’s youthful and masterful hold on his vocals. 1999 is a pop throwback to the early 2000s and you can already picture the video for the track. This track would be perfect in 13 going on 30. The film is a cult classic amongst the rom-com fan base, it was the first of its kind. To have a female protagonist with a complex plot line and arch? He has constantly released immensely catchy singles with a knack for superb lyrics. This is his latest single, Talkin’ to You. First, I have to recognise the commendable level of production he has reached. Talkin’ to You has all kinds of effects in the song, even with the echoes in the background, and electronic harmonies. It is a lovely romantic single, with some power packed chords and rhythms. Can’t be Without You and Crazy have already proven his salt, and this is just the golden ticket holder cruising. Carson Ferris - Ghosts
Carson Ferris must have magic at the tips of his fingers because he can suspend time with his snappy beats in Ghosts, his latest single. The young singer-songwriter already has a signature style that is a sweet concoction of pop and synth. Carson is pure talent in general, but particularly on this track. He has the perfect set of notes that tumble and weave together a tapestry of rhythm that seeps into your head like a welcome ear-worm. There’s no doubt that the track is everything; it is moving and dramatic and is sure to remain at the tip of your tongue. The wow factor in the song is Carson’s performance. There’s no doubt that he has a stellar voice and range, but the emotion he musters when he performs is what sells the track. It's not just the icing on the cake but the whole cake itself. This is after having excellent instrumentals and production on the track. Even amidst all this perfection, Carson’s performance shines the brightest. The track is punctuated with pauses that hold moments brilliantly, adding a texture of suspense that induces a little jump in our hearts. There was an era when TV gave us gems when it came to supernatural sitcom series genre and it catered to everyone. That was the early 2000's, and Teen Wolf was a product of this pop horror/drama genre. The song would add value to the series on multiple levels. If you still haven’t hit that play button, what are you doing? I warn you though that hitting the pause button would be very hard after. Carson Ferris is a magician; after all, he will entice you with every note and beat.
Carson Ferris-FOMO
Carson Ferris has matured through music, making music. A true musicians blood pumps through the veins of this young man, who has been creating pop anthems before most of us could speak well. From songs of romance to just feeling in the new age order we seem to live in now, he captures it all with certain intensity. This is his latest double A side called FOMO. We feel it too, all the time. His simple chord progression rings out like an early Beiber or Sheeran song. This is about building connections, and missing out on them as well. Carson Ferris is your musician’s best friend, for he creates soundtracks for the memories you create with friends. The melodies fall gently with simple electronic percussions, while an EDM cloud adds to the effect. It is an acoustic song with great ambient elements, accenting the kind of synthesised place you want to be with friends. Whether it be relationships or just the places to be, he captures it all with incredible accuracy in this track. It is an emotional escapade, while holding a lot of value of personal nature for Carson Ferris. The other single is Ghosts, which is another slightly melancholy number. Something powerful to admit about the artist from Provo, Utah is how he can write with such maturity while connecting with listeners who feel the same way, the things we need to feel. This one would be a great track in Eighth Grade (2018), which has some amazing sections of understanding how teenagers deal with such emotions. Check out the single above!
