TerraTara is a traveling musician. Though that might be a dream job to hear, well, it is. From singer-songwriter songs where she played almost all the instruments to her current form-she brings the joy and stories in music. In essence, she carries her mandolin around while traveling the globe. From each place, she derives a new story or song. This is art as expression, as pure as it can get. This is her latest single, Forward.
You could call this mellow reggae surf pop. It probably isn’t that, but this kind of artist requires a genre of her own. With sumptuous bass lines and all the instruments working as a cohesive whole, it is a joy to sink into. I checked my hand, and a margarita had somehow appeared out of thin air. Taking you to a walk in the talc like sand and salty sea breeze-you appreciate the lyrics even more. Imagination unwinds as you dissolve yourself in TerraTara’s impressive compositional style. You dive into well crafted pockets where each instrument shines through the chord progression. Hypnotic vocals with pitch perfect modulation carries you on the wafting marrow of the melody. This was the evening song loop I was looking forward to. Just like you, I’m wondering if that pun was intended.
If you have indie playlist collections, you might have heard her popular singles A Love, Tantalize and Waiting for the Rain. I imagined this song perfectly in Descendants (2011). The beach scene would have been epitomised in a wonderful way. Listen to TerraTara in her single and follow her for more enthralling, invigorating music!
