The best introduction of Moving Van can be with their music. Well, that is what they make. Probably the worst thing you could do is try to figure out their genre, but that’s not how we work. Their music sounded cinematic and dramatic to us, and now we get to hear their latest single. This one is called Ouroboros.Â
It signifies the never ending loop/circle. Moving Van bring a salsa kind of groove with a fusion of several other catchy elements. This same band has a song called Cul-de-Sac, which transcends other kinds of layers. What it seems to be is this. The band gets really invested in a theme and either writes lyrics or the music. The result is a beautiful coalesce of well composed elements that just belong with each other. Ouroboros has some stylish chorus parts as well, that builds on a very stylish Latin base. Vocalist Miranda Shakes has some of the best lyrical deliveries we have heard in a while. The 5-piece band brings the theme with the utmost conviction, including the Santana styled guitar solo as well. It is the beginning of a band that wants their experiences and styles coming together in a delicious mixture.
I feel this song would be perfect in the movie Flipped (2010). It has some great scenes which align with the lyrics, as well as groovy instrumental parts that Moving Van nail. You can listen to their single above and follow the band for more like this!
