Jane N’ The Jungle bring your rock that they grew up with. Their attack is phenomenal, and their compositions addictive. A band needs a power pack energized by passion like this to perform. They put their all in for every release. This one is no less. This single is called Wasteland.
You will get hardened Soundgarden vibes from that opening. It is a grunge/post-grunge enigma, and the vocals are magnetic. As you focus on the words, they slide effortlessly into the first verse section. Swirling with the guitar effects, you’re still in a daze. That is when Jane N’ The Jungle actually hit. The chorus features a riff so delicious, I’ve had it as my three-course meal. Choosing unpredictable vocal lines, we soar with Jane to a peak that you seem to fly over. The band from Phoenix, Arizona are leaving no roaring rhythm behind with a song like this. It is a superb and explosive effort from a band that has constantly bettered their compositions to make something so familiar in terms of structure, but their own. If their singles Trouble and Dirty Dog bring an alt-rock energy, this goes to the darker throes of grunge.
This track would be absolutely perfect in Watchmen (2009). Not only does it fit the theme, but the sequences require an energy house like this to aid transition. A band like this not only delivers, but outperforms their songs regularly. Listen to their brilliant single here and follow them for more rocking songs that will blow you out the water!
