Dogboy are the shock collar rock needed for some time. Riffs, rhymes-the whole nine yards. Zero compromise. Their songs have a flavour that is seasonal, which you crave and need patience to earn. With three songs on their Spotify now, they haven’t struck out once. This is the one going for the home run, this single is called Rush.
It’s the name of my favourite band. It’s what you have to do if you want to live in today’s world. Dogboy bring that riff rock back with the opening few seconds. Your pants crinkle up, you feel the groove getting to you. Before you know it, you’re apologizing to your neighbour for public nuisance. They say no need, crank it up. With a swing like this and well crafted, hard hitting candy sweet lyrics, I didn’t need to hear this song more than twice to be humming most of the words. The transitions from the chorus riff to the verse are a neat juxtaposition, something a musician would love listening to as much as an average listener. Dogboy want you to know in the world of misfits, you’re more than welcome to use their song as your soundtrack. Just remember, don’t be odd, just be you. Rush is always there to give you that extra pump.
Yes, I would suggest this in the racing scene of the movie Rush (2013). However, this would be great in Shoot ‘Em Up (2007) as well. This is rock as you’d like it, and there’s more. Listen to That’s What We Wanted and Cowboy Killer as well to feel the flow of catchy melody. Don’t forget to follow them for more!
