ADVIKA creates immersive audio cocoons like no one else in the game. Her influences range from every kind of genre she has ever loved. They will expand to every genre she ever will. Fusion of jazz, pop, and Carnatic music. It is a combination you wouldn’t dare to experiment with. Somehow, it all sounds right when she crafts it from scratch and lets us drown in it. This is her latest single, Come Back to Earth.
For a song that seems to be a soft plea, ADVIKA enjoys the limitless nature of space. The instrumental background is an electronic haven, echoing with the unknown. The percussion engulfs you with the subtle reverberation that punctuates her lyrics. For an introduction, you’re already in a meditative state. It’s a brilliant composition that prefixes the chorus, as it would bleed in. Transitions are like watching colours split from a prism, unexpected and a full-blown visual of the spectrum. The sound effects change and divulge a different story with the second verse. As surprising as it is, it comfortably mimics the nature of the previous. This is as smooth as watching the sun set into the horizon. Maybe we get to enjoy that distance for a little longer with the song.
I think this track would be perfect for Lucy in The Sky (2019). A brilliant psychological drama, it has great acting and a splendid script. ADVIKA would fit in with the brilliant transitions as well. Listen to her popular singles like If Only I Were Cake and Block Out the Noise for some pop fusion indulgence. Follow her for more music like this!
