David Baron from Solari
David Baron is Located in the historic Woodstock, New York region. He is a record producer, film composer, musician, arranger, and engineer. a dedicated vintage analogue synthesiser and recording equipment collector. David co-wrote Ninth for Peter Murphy and has 20 years of experience working with Lenny Kravitz. He collaborated with Kevin Kadish on all the instruments for Meghan Trainor’s hit song “All About That Bass,” which brought him a Diamond Award. For musicians such as Lenny Kravitz, Shawn Mendes, Meghan Trainor, and Bat for Lashes, he has composed several string and orchestral arrangements. He has played keyboards on songs by Keith Urban, Jason Mraz, Shawn Mendes, and Michael Jackson. He also created string arrangements and an ARP 2600 synth for Michael Jackson. David was raised in the music industry. His father, Aaron Baron, was a distant recording pioneer who oversaw the production of albums like Mingus Live at Carnegie Hall, BB King in Cook Country Jail, and the Allman Brothers Live at Fillmore East.
Aaron accompanied David to live performances and recording studios. As a teenager, he worked as his father’s audio assistant on the truck. David contributed to the records of Ray Charles, Journey, Bob Hope Specials, Leonard Bernstein, and others. At the Oberlin Conservatory, David studied violin and classical piano in addition to technology and associated disciplines. During his time at Oberlin, he developed an interest in employing technology to create shows. The foundation of his work was the fusion of technology and classical music. On the $100 million sequel to Ashes and Snow, David is the lead composer and producer (Gregory Colbert). On the score, he collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Greg Gonzales of Cigarettes After Sex, Ken Watanabe, Lisa Fisher, Arve Hendriksen, Patrick Watson, Melanie DeBiasio, and Laurence Fishburne.
Renée Hikari from Solari
Renée Hikari is a native of Tokyo, Japan. The artist was raised on art her whole life by her grandmother, a ballet dancer and her grandfather who was a theatre director. She developed an eclectic musical palette at an early age from her father. He was a legendary saxophonist in Tokyo’s thriving underground jazz- hip-hop scene in the 90s. At the age of five, she moved to Queens, New York. She began playing the drums at 14. She has been a part of New York’s music scene for over ten years. Renée studied film studies at Hunter College in New York and fell in love with the music and sound design in movies very soon.
It wasn’t until she started working for acclaimed record producer David Baron that she could participate in her dream project. It was creating music that expresses elements of art film and nostalgic storytelling by bridging her two home countries, the America and Japan. She continues to pursue music production, electronic drum programming, and live drumming while making music that inspires her.
