1Pomaa
Seamlessly combining honeyed, warm vocals with dreamy, psychedelic arrangements, Pomaa is an expert in musical balance.
The musician’s latest single, Wide Eyed, is set to release on 11th October. On the track, Pomaa tells the story of being the only sober person at a party; starved of connection and feeling isolated. Her silky voice lingers as she hypnotically sings “It’s just a feeling I don’t want to feel” in the choruses.
Wide Eyed is the second single from Pomaa’s debut EP Bridge To Somewhere, out 15th November. Lead single, Back In Time, was well received, garnering airplay on PBS and 3CR as well as Spotify playlisting spots from TheMusic.Com.Au, The Australian Music Scene, and on .
These releases are a follow-up to Pomaa’s debut single I Can’t Wait Til This Doesn’t Matter. The track Is contemplative and vast; an exploration into overthinking that concludes that everything is temporary— even our thoughts. Having been warmly received by critics; Dana Scully of 4ZZZ described the track as “Aldous Harding from the era of Cocteau Twins,” while triple j and triple j Unearthed Radio supported the release with positive reviews and airplay.
