A 19 year old singer-songwriter from London.
At 15 and entering lock-down, Neve made use of her extended incarceration by setting up a home studio and set about writing and recording her songs. Little did she know that she would only re-emerge in time for her 18th birthday, having worked on over 50 songs in that period. Lyrically, the mood is often dark, with subject matter regularly touching on the mental health challenges of being a young teenager, robbed of their formative teenage years. Neve writes to help herself and in the hope of helping others steer a path through thoughts of anxiety, loneliness, depression, and heartbreak. Whilst the words may be hard to write, Neve always looks to reinforce a positive message of hope.
A chance meeting at a gig with up & coming producer Matt Brettle, lead to a production deal with Sticky Productions. Spending the second half of 2022 ensconced in studio in Guildford, all the hours spent writing had paid off. Together they crafted a selection of songs into her first EP with an ambitious sound full of swagger and moody, raw emotion.
“… effortlessly shifting from quiet introspection to soaring chorus hooks. There’s a touch of Florence + The Machine in her delivery, but also a bit of Kate Bush’s whimsy and Patti Smith’s raw emotion.” Couch Magazine
‘Song For Anna’ is sentimental, sincere, tender and explores human fragility in a way far surpassing Bowen’s years.” The Otherside Reviews
