1Joe Bygraves
Joe Bygraves is a 27 year old singer-songwriter from Bedfordshire. His soft guitar and singable lyrics have made him a rising star on the local music scene. Joe has opened for Paloma Faith, Jools Holland and Ronan Keating, playing to crowds of thousands.
In 2020, when the UK’s venues were shuttered, Joe wrote and performed the official campaign anthem of the #WeMakeEvents movement, ‘Stand As One’. Joe represented the plight of the music and entertainment industry during the coronavirus pandemic. Culminating in a riverboat concert alongside Frank Turner and Mark King (of hit 80s band Level 42), the campaign was a wild ride for Joe, with ‘Stand As One’ mixed at the famous Abbey Road studios, and accompanying music video shot at Camden’s legendary Roundhouse.
Joe is also a formidable live act in his own right, selling out his first headline show at the Craufurd Arms, Milton Keynes in 2022 as well as appearances at Bedford’s Esquires and The Horn, St Albans – all stalwarts of the local gigging circuit.
The new single, ‘Someone Else’ combines anthemic guitar and soaring vocals to create a moody but memorable ballad. The track has already bagged preview airtime on BBC Introducing East and Amazing Radio.
Taking inspiration from Ed Sheeran , Coldplay and local Bedford lad Tom Grennan, Joe’s guitar driven pop has seen him line up more headline gigs for 2023. Armed with the assured tone and full sound of ‘Someone Else’ – he’s set to kick off the touring season in style.
