Isak’s Island is the artist-project of songwriter and guitarist Aksel Undset. The music of Isak’s Island can be described as intimate and nourishing soundscapes that frame evocative and poetic songs. He hints at the 60s and 70s songwriters such as Nick Drake and Leonard Cohen. He does this while still reaching for the new and unexplored. The project was first launched with the space-rock EP “Peculiar Calls From Outer Space” in 2013, where Aksel played all instruments and produced the music himself.

In the same year, Aksel moved to London and put together a live band for the project. This project played many concerts around the city over the next few years. Since then, the project has moved more in the direction of the folk genre. He then released two more EPs, an album, toured Great Britain, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, and Norway. His debut album “Songs For Winter” was released in autumn 202. The follow-up album “Fallen Anchors On The Sea Bed” will be released on Friday 26th of May 2023,
