Hazy Shea (she/they) is a queer singer, songwriter, and producer based in Los Angeles with a distinct and expressive melancholic edge. Fearless with their experimentation, Hazy’s desire to make music runs deeper than just that — the foundation of their work is to evoke powerful + visceral responses in their listeners.
“My music challenges the idea that you can be one thing or express yourself in one type of way. Sometimes, I find that the industry and society as a whole push us to have a single defined energy and vibe, but I’ve never been able to live up to that expectation. Only aligning my center by leaning into my duality — from my sound, my aesthetic, to whatever way I feel like presenting myself to the world. Finding yourself is an experience of discovery, not a destination, and I want my music to provoke that experience in people, pushing themselves to rebel against the idea that there is a singular way of being.”
