Blackfoxy is a jazz-funk group from Villeneuve La Garenne in the Paris region. The group was formed in 2011 on the initiative of Kalid Bazi and Klaus Blasquiz (singer of the legendary group Magma with Christian Vander, Jannick Top etc…).

The two artists met while working on the soundtrack for a Luc Besson film. This meeting will mark the debut of a new group of seven musicians, embodying the fusion of their worlds: one coming from jazz, the other from popular funk. Born then Blackfoxy a city funk with a marked French Touch, inspired by pure and hard African-American funk, from Motown to the 80s via James Brown.
