Outside of Sweden, the word ‘avresa’ may not be so commonly known. In English it translates to departure
for the beginning of a journey. Songwriter, guitarist and pianist Jeremy felt it was a fitting name for his solo
musical project which aspired to move in an unexpected musical direction after writing and playing in a 4-piece
rock band for years. Drawing on a broad range of influences in post-punk, folk, electronica and singer songwriter genres, the sound of Avresa is a unique style of indie rock which blends the classic with the modern.
