The grunge sound will remain, and return. Snakedoctors are a Polish band that tread on various pathways to make their unique sound, and it is enthralling to hear their journey. The spatial and audio chemistry is special-it is a sonorous treat that keeps on giving. No song can be played just once. Destroyed is one single which is a prime example of that.
Gone are the times when bands boasted their musicality. Snakedoctors try to bring that era back, their song starts with the crunchy, grunge infused sound of their guitars. It echoes, and waits patiently. By the time the bass settles in, you have understood and read the groove. The vocals pierce through with a punch, like an Iggy Pop entrance to a song. Resonating with the grunge aggressiveness, it sounds muffled in terms of rhythm. Swerving between clean and gruff vocals, the crunch resembles the instrumentals as well. It leans on hard rock due to the overall tone, but is very much the grunge kick for the week. Not like you had the choice when you plugged in.Technically, the first film I thought of was Demolition, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. The grunge tone also represents the Pixies in terms of instrumentals, so I was naturally drawn to the cult classic, Fight Club. The message and tone is perfect for an element of annihilation. Listen to their album Four and a Half for some solid grunge sound. Their single Heart Too Small has been making waves in the indie world too. Explore them on Spotify and don’t forget to follow for some awesome music!
