Late Train is a journey by Natalie Clark. The journey is one that is required, to come to terms with the ghosts of every version of us in a relationship. The track is soul in textures that are embellished with an alternate tone. Natalie slams open the door and flicks the light on the importance of letting go during and after a relationship. 

Clark’s singing shines thoroughly throughout the song. She has a unique voice that distinctly stands out in a choir. Speaking of, there is a church choir-like quality to the songs with the clapping and repeat background vocals. The singer’s voice cascades out of her heart which is impossible to resist. There are two portions where Late Train could be used in Promising Young Woman. First, when Cassandra thinks of her friend. Another place I hope that this would’ve played is right at the end when they try to burn her body or when the arrests are taking place.
