Higgs Field are an electric jolt every music lover needs sometimes. A live act with unreal energy, their music is a fusion of great rock acts, with a very original touch. As much as it makes you groove and move, you’ll want to create chaos as well. There is an aggressive blow that you’ll experience better live, but they do pack that power in their recordings. This is their latest single, Us Forever. 

This is not your ordinary romantic melody. Higgs Field have a sunlit surface as the opening, the rays glowing and showering you with warmth. It is almost acoustic, except for the crisp kicks of the bass and shots of the snare. You might assume by the bridge that you know the song pretty much. Wrong. The chorus is a dynamite stick disguised as a lollipop. Like Chevelle’s chorus parts, you hear the guitars as the wave of sound they are, tsunami-sized. The verse section withdraws, but has the electric guitar strains in stronger traces. I’m assuming that when this is playing live, the wave felt as the audience is going to be something else. The solo is splendid as well, metal as well as melodic in the kind of shredding experience you’d be entitled to. 

One would have assumed just as much, but I’d love to see this track flourish in a Bill and Ted’s movie. The perfect amalgam of rock and metal, Higgs Field would break the fourth wall with just sheer attack. Listen to their kick-ass 2021 album called Paracusia and follow them for more music like this!
