Chucky Trading Co just released his new single- Sleepwalking Through History and it surpasses our expectations. Sleepwalking Through History begins with a twangy drum and guitar combo that has you grooving to its beats. We then have CT’s voice make his entrance. He speaks reminiscently of a past relationship in this track. If you don’t know about how crazy Woodstock got, the lyrics will have you doing a double-take. Not because it is controversial but rather at the smoothness of its mention.“I met you at Woodstock. We danced in the rain. You had such passion and I had cocaine.” It was a festival infinitely famous for its use of drugs. There is a simplistic quality to the song that really does a great job of grounding the track. This works brilliantly in favour of the track.

A film that romanticises the past much like this number is Grown Ups a comedic genius. The film has hilarious writing and a cast that delivers! The playlist of the song already has classics and Sleepwalking Through History won’t have any trouble gliding right in. The film’s arch is a constant up unlike a lot of films and this song would only add to it.
