This is as she takes a step back and really looks at the relationship. The gentle guitar strumming guides you into Carley’s world, it does a great job as soothing a broken heart. While the song isn’t your usual break up song in the sense that it isn’t particularly sad or angry. It’s more exasperated than anything and we see it too when she says “A battle lost, I wasted my time.”.  There is a soft cathartic nature to the song that sets it apart.
