A/V CLvB has the answer from an emo-rock perspective. Here comes a band that brings the charm and taste of 90s rock, with their own take on it. The band from Plymouth had a great debut with their single, Feels Like Yesterday, and they are expanding their tone and reach. This is their latest single, Cellar Door.
Something that sounds like the new Blur is what A/V CLvB sounds like now. The dedication to the live instruments and unique rhythm transgressions hold your attention almost instantly. Their fuzzy guitars and offbeat vocal style belongs to a band like this. Making this kind of music seems like second nature to them. Flourishes in the chorus section and tailored drum parts make it a memorable melody. You hear dissonance in the instruments and vocals, just like Billy Corgan’s style on The Smashing Pumpkins. It is the kind of flavour that catches you off guard. A/V CLvB are on a roll, with their second single also having the kind of vibe that makes you go crazy. Cellar Door is another great start from a band that shows promise in this alternative soundscape.
This track would be a great addition to the series, Paradise City. Having Andy Biersack from Black Veil Brides as one of the titular characters, this series has some great music to enjoy as well. You can listen to the band and their songs here with us on Indiemusicflix!
